Wei Lin grew up in George Town, surrounded by the layered Chinese heritage that makes Penang unique. After graduating in Tourism Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia, she spent three years living and working across Beijing, Yunnan, and Sichuan — developing deep local connections and a genuine love for China's diversity.
Returning to Penang in 2016, she founded 丝路 SĪLÙ Travel with one mission: to create meaningful China travel experiences for Malaysian families — combining the convenience of a local agency with the depth of knowledge only insiders possess.
Today, Wei Lin personally curates every itinerary and hand-picks every guide, ensuring that SĪLÙ's journeys feel like travelling with a knowledgeable friend, not a faceless tour operator.
